Biography
I first took up printmaking in 1993, and have been hooked ever since.
I trained at Colchester School of Art and Norwich School of Art and Design, graduating in 1998 with a degree in Printmaking and Photo Media.
Following my BA, I studied at Leeds University, gaining an MA in Feminism and the Visual Arts in 2000.
Welcome To My Website
I exhibit across the UK, and am looking at expanding my gallery representation in West Yorkshire and beyond, having recently assembled my etching press in a new studio in the front room at home.

Original Prints
All my work is produced in small print runs of no more than 15-25 maximum, and are certified original prints, unless otherwise specified, not giclée prints or reproductions.
An original print is an image created from hand-cut or drawn printing blocks, plates or stencils, which are used to produce a limited number of prints. The number produced is determined by the artist or by the actual printmaking process itself. For example, an etching plate may take two weeks to etch, followed by 40 minutes of inking up and wiping and then printing, for each individual image.
In contrast, a Reproduction Print (giclée print) is a copy of a work in another medium, either a painting in oils/acrylic or watercolour, or a print, using four colour photo-mechanical/digital means. The limited print is simply determined by the quantity that the printer is set to produce, without any further involvement by the artist. The print-run is usually considerably more than the hand-produced work.
